St. Mary's Youth Ministry offers a wide range of spiritual, social, athletic and justice activities "to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community."
Middle schoolers (Grades 6-8) and High School folks are invited. Also, we offer joint activities. Please check the current Youth ministry calendar as dates are subject to change.
Young people from St. Mary's also take part in wider activities through out the Archdiocese and Harford County Area.
Please note all 6th thru 12th grade students are always welcome at all Youth Ministry Social Events.
If the event is an outreach event, volunteer event, or the student serves in a Parish ministry, they must be 14 years or older and have completed the Worthy of the Call Training. Please contact Mrs. Rachel at rbittner@stmaryspylesville.org if you need to complete your training.

Damascus Youth Summer Camp
Deadline to register for Damascus Youth Summer Camp is Jan 15! Camp is July 21 – Aug 1, 2025, in Centerburg Ohio, open to teens 6th – 12th grades. The spirit of St. Pope John Paul II was to take youth out of their ordinary environments to encounter Jesus in the beauty of God’s creation. Damascus’s mission is to awaken, empower, and equip a generation of young people to live the adventure of their Catholic Faith through world-class programs and an environment of encounter. Damascus has created a safe, fun, and supportive camp environment where young people can have a life-changing encounter with Jesus that is deeply rooted in their Catholic faith. St. Mary’s Youth Ministry would love to have some teens represent St. Mary’s at camp and come back to witness to other teens. ’26 Camp will be in MD! Teens, are you looking for something more? Please let Mrs. Rachel know if you are interested!! The cost is $620 pp, scholarships are available.
